Changelog

This page lists what changed in Custos AI, with the date each change went live. Custos AI is the quiet engine for business email: it reads incoming mail, looks up the answer in the systems you already use, and hands over the cases that need a person. Updated whenever something ships that you would notice.

Attachments are read, including tables

An order or an invoice usually arrives as an attachment, not as text in the email body. Custos AI now reads those attachments and turns them into text, including the tables in them.

Numbers from a table are stored as separate values, so a total or a quantity can be verified rather than guessed. Text recognition runs on Mistral, a European provider.

Model

AI included in Workspace, your own keys optional

Custos AI used to require you to bring your own API key from an AI provider. On the Workspace plan that is no longer needed: AI usage is part of the plan and we choose the model.

That means no model menus, no per-message amounts and no keys to manage. When the usage included in your plan runs out, you get a plain notice instead of a request for an API key. Bringing your own keys is still possible: it is now a switch you turn on yourself.

New

Needs you: cases that require a human decision

Not every message should be handled automatically. Custos AI now stops by itself when a case falls outside the rules you set, and places it in a Needs you screen.

The context comes with it, so a decision takes one look instead of a search through the mailbox. The rule that caused the stop is recorded with the case, so you can see why it stopped and adjust the rule.

New

Custos AI works from your Microsoft 365 mailbox

Custos AI connects to the Microsoft 365 mailbox your business already uses, through Microsoft's own approval screen. No migration, no new address, no forwarding rules.

Incoming mail arrives within seconds and becomes a case with a customer attached, filed in that customer's folder in OneDrive. You can connect more than one mailbox, each with its own login. If a notification from Microsoft is ever missed, a scheduled check picks the message up anyway.

New

WooCommerce connection

Connect your WooCommerce shop from the Connections page. Custos AI then matches the sender of an email against your customer list, so a message from a known customer is recognised as such and filed in the right folder.

This is the first shop connection, built on the connection layer that later shops use as well.

New

Knowledge base with sources in the answer

Upload your own documents — price lists, manuals, policies — and Custos AI uses them to answer. Supported file types include PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, text and Markdown.

Every answer shows where it came from: a numbered reference you can click to see the passage and the document name. Search combines meaning and exact wording, so both a paraphrased question and a specific product code find the right passage. Documents are processed in the EU.
